Bringing you information about some of the best supplements on the planet. Most will be supplements derived from the ocean, although a few, like Curamin or Acai, are not ocean based... but they're too good not to include.

What do Susie Cohen - the Online Pharmacist;  Dr. Perricone - author of, "7 Secrets to Beauty, Health, and Longevity";
and  Dr. Bob Corish ,author of, "Thanks to Wife, I Just Had a Rectal Exam" all have in common?
They believe in Astaxanthin

Astaxanthin

What is Astaxanthin

Astaxanthin is a carotene. Carotenes are known for giving th red, yellow, and orange color to fruits and vegetables such as carrots or apricots. Carotenes are well known for their health benefits, especially beta-carotene. Astaxanthin, the carotene that gives wild caught salmon it's red or pink color,  is related to beta-carotene.

Astaxanthn is recognized as an antioxidant 10 times more powerful than beta-carotene. It is the combination of astaxanthin and omega 3 oils that give salmon its reputation as one of Dr. Perricone's superfoods.

Astaxanthin fights free radicals and oxygen singlets. Astaxathin supports  immune functions and fights inflamation. Astaxanthin also acts as an anti-mutagens and anti-carcinogens.

Supplementation is recommended. Dr. Corish recommends 6-12 mg per day. (You would need to eat salmon 3 times a day - every day to get that amount.) Most supplements are in capsules with an oil  - usually olive oil, fish oil, vegetable oil, or krill oil.

2. Cross the blood-retinal barrier and bring antioxidant and anti-inflammatory protection to the eyes

3. Travel throughout the body effectively to bring antioxidant and anti-inflammatory protection at a high activity level to all the organs and the skin

4. Span the cell membranes

5. Bond with muscle tissue

6. Work as a super-powerful antioxidant and quickly eliminate free radicals and neutralize singlet oxygen.
